Our Work
Education:
- We provide the children with the basics for school and social behaviour. They are doing their first steps in writing and reading, general knowledge and they learn about the christianity.
- Sport, Music, Games, Creative Work
- These topics are important supplements of the lessons, learning rules and getting the zest for life.
- Adequate Supply of Food
- Daily all children get a square meal. In addition to that approx. 50 former project kids come and lunchtime to the project.
These children attend surronding standard schools but they need further support e.g. providing food.
- Primary Health Care
- A near ambulance of "Ärzte für die dritte Welt" provides all children of the project at no charge.
Furthermore the children are teached in health care (hygiene, AIDS-prophilaxis etc.)
- Work with Parents
- If concerned parents agreed to, they are consulted by visits at home or meetings in the project. Parents have the possibility to exchange the experience and get more active because the project organizes parent group meetings.
- Children Conferences
- This forum want to give the chilren a voice, to pronounce damit sie lernen ihre Nöte und Wünsche auszudrücken. Daraus entstehen häufig gemeinsame Absprachen.
As a matter of course we try to seize this suggestions in the programming of the project.
- Specific Development Strategy
- In partnership between parents, children and staff members of the Center the support and the objectives of the individual child will be fixed.
- Cooperation
- Especially with the school support project we work in a close collaboration. The cooperation Damit der Rehabilitationsprozess gut verläuft, wird auf eine gute Abstimmung und Kommunikation Wert gelegt.
Das Center ist auch vernetzt mit anderen Hilfsprogrammen und staatlichen Behörden.
- Board of Decisions
- Grundlegende Entscheidungen werden in einem Komitee besprochen und mit unserem Verein abgestimmt. Mitglieder des Komitees sind die Mitarbeiter des Projektes, Finanzverwalter und einige Mitglieder der Kirchengemeinde.
Gerne sind wir bereit in Schulen oder Gruppen über die Arbeit des Projektes zu berichten oder Ihnen weitere Informationen zukommen zu lassen.
